SHRIMP project coordinator Dr. Sebastian Herrmann held a talk at the second Digital Humanities Day in Leipzig on December 3, 2018. Once again, SHRIMP had the chance to introduce itself as a project at the intersection of digitalization and humanities. Last year's shorter poster presentation was replaced by a longer talk this time.
The talk focused on introducing SHRIMP as a medium for teaching and highlighting its various features such as interactivity and annotated hyperlinks. In particular, the fact that almost half the text that is now in the SHRIMP universe has been produced by students using the platform perfectly highlighted its advantages as a digital medium that goes beyond just digitizing text. After the talk, Dr. Herrmann and the other speakers who had introduced their projects answered audience questions.
SHRIMP appreciated the opportunity to be part of the Digital Humanities Day at the University of Leipzig for a second time and we look forward to next year.
