SHRIMP at Digital Humanities Day Leipzig 2019

On December 02, 2019 we were invited to present SHRIMP at the Digital Humanities Day organized by the Forum Digital Humanities Leipzig (Uni Leipzig), which took place this year at the Grassi Museum. As part of a poster slam, we presented SHRIMP and the current project status - all in just sixty seconds! Visitors who were interested in a more detailed introduction to the project after this little and compact "appetizer" could visit us at a poster exhibition afterwards.

Distribution of learning types in the current semester

Shortly after the start of the semester we want to present you some statistics! Remember the test you had to take before you could use SHRIMP? On the basis of these questions we wanted to find out what type of learner you are in order to customize SHRIMP according to your personal learning needs. Now we have evaluated the test results and determined the exact distribution of learning types in your seminar – interesting to find out how your fellow students prefer to learn, isn't it?

Review: Tag der Lehre 2019

Last Friday, November 8, 2019, the SHRIMP team introduced the platform at “5. Tag der Lehre” with the format “Digitale Insel” on the main campus of the University of Leipzig. The focus of this year’s event was on the future of higher education (“Zukunft der Lehre”) - a perfect setting for presenting our current project results and plans.

Talk Nerdy to Me: The Lost Cards

Hey y’all! In this week’s Talk Nerdy to Me we’re going to discuss something a bit different: the cards the fewest distinct readers. That is to say, they’re the cards where the fewest number of specific users have read them. Let’s dive into the data!

As we can clearly see, less than 25 of you have read each of these individual cards, and for some of them it’s less than 20! That’s not too many people.

Talk Nerdy to Me: A (not so) Shrimpy Christmas

Here at SHRIMP we hope everyone had a relaxing and fun Winter Break—we know we did! And we also know that at least a few of you got the best gift on Christmas: the gift of knowledge, for which some of you got the “Nerds on Christmas” badge. Accordingly, this week we wanted to check out how our vacation days affected reading habits.
